Reunions are held once a year, usually in June. 2003 it was in Minneapolis, MN. They are open to anyone who served on any of the Guadalcanal ships and they have opened it up to family members since the group is slowly getting older. Without family knowledge the whole experience will be forgotten. If you want any information on any reunions, please call me at 619-423-3821. That's California time. I believe the 2004 reunion will be in Chicago... great time to go see the U-505 at the Museum.

The 2000 reunion was held in San Diego and was a great success. Here is a story that ran in the San Diego Tribune.
NEWS!!
The 2004 reunion is scheduled for Chicago June 2nd through the 5th. Contact person is Al Zielen who is the Secy/Treas. and can be reached at 970-229-0479. They have secured special arrangements with a hotel for reduced prices but reservations need to be made soon to secure a room. All sorts of activities have been scheduled with one being a hard-hat tour of the U-505 exhibit under construction and then a banquet at the Museum of Science. Other activities are also planned, so don't miss out on the 60th anniversary of the capture of the U-505 Sub - the only one in captivity.
For the first time last year, relatives of men who served in this battle are allowed to join the reunion group. The group has been losing a lot of members of late and they see the need to have people connected to members around to keep this historic event alive for years to come. So if you had or are a relative of the Guadalcanal group, contact Al Zielen and ask how to go about joining the association. His address is: TG 22.3 Association, 736 Rocky Mountain Way, Ft. Collins, CO 80526
